Louie was our pick male out of our 1997 Oscar/Dusk litter. He exemplified type, temperament and a balance that made us admire him, even as a young puppy. We weren't looking to keep a male puppy from his litter, so he was placed in a loving family home. Louie grew up to be a sound, stable dog who not only had a bomb proof temperament - he was also a very discriminate watch dog who looked over his owner's household with a watchful eye.

His owners were a great family who had a busy lifestyle which included Louie in all their events. It proved a great challenge for them to let me sneak him off to the shows - entry after entry was made but he never attended the shows. Eventually, we quit asking and respected he had a better life without the need to show.

When Louie was approaching 5 years of age, his owner called to inform us that they would like to neuter their dog. They wanted to be assured by doing this, it could  help extend his life as he approached the "golden years". We agreed it was the best thing to do. Before he was neutered, he was taken to ICSB and his semen was collected. We couldn't have made a better decision in doing so. 

Louie is the only male offspring of Oscar that was collected for future use in our breeding program. He has sired 3 litters to date. These breedings were an outcross breeding (Dynasty Bullmastiffs), a linecrossed breeding (Absolute Bullmastiffs) and a linebreeding (Reprisal Bullmastiffs). From these three different bitch litters, we have observed that he has the strength to pass along his deep red pigment, bone, breed type and interestingly enough, the ability to throw a high percentage of bitch weighted litters.
